Elvis PresleyElvis Presley was a very popular American singer and actor. He is considered even today as a cultural icon, whose influence on people still linger on even today. But most importantly, he is being referred to as "The King of Rock n’ Roll" to his beloved fans. Some even call him simply as "The King" or just plain Elvis.

Elvis was quite a popular celebrity during the 50’s and well into the 60’s and the 70’s. His popularity has quite that endearing quality among his many fans that some even still believe that hasn’t died or that his ghost still resides in Graceland, his former estate.

Elvis Presley’s Death

The many stories behind Elvis Presley and his enduring may have a lot to do with his tragic and sudden death. Elvis died while still on the height of his regained stardom. But also during this time, Elvis was already deep into his drug addiction. On August 16, 1977, Elvis Presley died at his Graceland estate where he was found lifeless inside the bathroom. Cause of death reports later on point to an overdose of drugs as the culprit. But controversies and conspiracy theories still exist out there with different views of Elvis’ death or how he still lives.

Elvis Ghost Sightings

Adoring fans of Elvis Presley don’t seem to want to let him go, even after his death. Some believe that he is still alive. Some reported of encounters with the king even after his death. Some of his fans believe that he is just hiding from the public in his Graceland estate. Others state of seeing his ghost at different places. And such encounters seem to stretch many years after his death.

One such story occurred sometime on December 20, 1980. A truck driver reported that he picked up a hitchhiker that introduced himself as Elvis Presley. At first, the driver didn’t believe it, but soon realized that it was really Elvis himself. The driver then dropped him off the block where Elvis residential estate is located. Such stories have fueled many rumors about Elvis still being alive or that his ghost is still roaming around. Whether it’s true or not, people will always remember the King of Rock n’ Roll and how he changed the American music scene forever.
